Paper Warehouse Fire at Chicago

The warehouse of the Guardiana Paper Stock Company at 755 West Taylor street, Chicago, a 5-story brick building 50 by 125 feet of mill construction and valued, with contents, at $45,000, was damaged $9,000 by fire at 11.27 P. M., January 27. The fire, from an unknown cause, started on the fourth floor and was confined to that and the fifth floor, after burning three hours. When Battalion Chief S. S. Kerwin arrived the fire was on both these floors. Fifteen engines, including 5 Metropolitan, 4 Continentals and 5 AhrensFox and 5 trucks and 2 squad wagons were In service.
