Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association Convention Plans
O. H. Neuman, who is chairman of the general committee having charge of the Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association convention, which meets at Lancaster, Pa., on September 16 to 20, anannounces that from reports received by him from the chairmen of the different committees, the coming convention will be a great success. The entertainment committee, under the leadership of D. W. Sheaf_____er, announces that they have secured Rocky Springs Park, which has a theatre and dancing pavilion, and is easy to reach by trolley. The committee has provided the following entertainment for the visiting firemen and friends as follows: Tuesday evening, September 17, dancing, moving pictures and vaudeville: on Wednesday afternoon, a sightseeing tour of the city by automobiles which will be furnished by the committee; Wednesday evening, dancing, moving pictures and vaudeville; on Thursday evening, band concerts in different parts of the city. Chairman Neuman announces that the committee has let the contract for decorating, and that the line of march of the parade will be embellished. Chairman Neuman said that 42 companies, to date, have decided to parade.
