Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Convention Not To Be Held

The convention of the Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association, which was to have been held in Lancaster, Pa., September 16-20, has been called off at the request of the National Fuel Administration, by Judge Eugene C. Bonniwell, of Philadelphia, who is president of the State Association.

President Bonniwell said that the convention would take away for a long period the many men engaged in industries essential to the conduct of the war, and for this reason Dr. Garfield had protested against holding the convention.
