Phoenix and Ottawa Win

The cities of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ottawa, Canada, were the announced grand award winners in the municipal class for outstanding fire prevention programs, last year. Philadelphia, Pa.; Memphis, Tenn.; Cranston, R. I.; Oshkosh, Wis.; West Milwaukee, Wis.; and Escalon, Calif., were the winners in their respective population classes.

The awards followed announcement by the National Fire Protection Association of the results of its annual fire prevention contest for 1957.

In separate contests, other winners were: Industry—The Tumpane Company of Terra Haute, Ind.; Air Force—the McClellan Air Force Base, Calif.; Army —the Presidio of San Francisco, and Navy—the Naval Ammunition Depot, of Hawthorne, Nev.
