Pittsburgh to Spend $250,000 for Apparatus

The $250,000 bond issue for the purchase of motor apparatus for Pittsburgh, Pa., has been sold, and we are informed that the city will advertise for bids shortly, probably within the next week or ten days. The apparatus to be purchased consists of the following: Two gasoline triple combination

pumpers, two 75-ft. aerial trucks drawn by 4-wheel 6-cylinder tractors, three city service motor-driven book and ladder trucks, four 4-wheel 6-cylinder tractors, four 2-wheel 4cylinder tractors, and three combination chemical and hose wagons.

Hyannis, Mass., Receives New Combination—A new Childs double-tank combination chemical and hose car mounted on a Graham chassis was received by the fire department of Hyannis. The delivery of this car was in time for it to take part in the July 4 parade in that city.
