PLAINFIELD AND ITS S’LVER HOSE CARRIAGE.

PUMPING ENGINE, TAUNTON STATION.

There is a possibility that the Plainfield Exempt Firemen’s association may not be able to accent the invitation to exhibit its silver hose carriage in the Elizabeth firemen’s parade on October 11 It will take $100 to put the relic in shape for the event, and another $100 will be needed for music and traveling expenses. As the association is practically without funds, and there is no way in sight to get the money, the “vets” declare they will have to stay home. The hose carriage is valued at $10,000. and is the only one of its kind in the country.
