Postponement of the Convention of New York State Chiefs’ Association
The following circular letter has been sent out announcing the postponement for one year of the annual convention of this association:
My DEAR BROTHER:—At a special meeting called by the president, Chief John _____lack, of the board of directors of this association, which was held at Albany on March 25, 1913. it was the unanimous expression of the board of directors that the meeting of the New York State Association of Fire Chief Engineers shall be postponed from the year of 1913 to the year of 1914, providing it is the sense of the members of this association. The reason suggested for this postponement is that the International Association of Fire Chiefs will meet at New York City the first week in September, and at the request of Chief John Ken Ion, of the New York Fire Department, each and every member of this association is most earnestly requested to be present. At this meeting there will be the greatest exhibition ot fire apparatus, fire appliances, as well as many interesting topics to he discussed. Should your opinion differ from that of the directors, and you consider it to the best interest of the association to hold a meeting this year, will you kindly advise the secretary at once, as the president and secretary were appointe as a committee to act entirely upon the voice of its members.
Very respectfully yours,
JOHN MACE, President.
HENRY R. YATES, Secretary.
