Potter Named Chief of Greenwich

Stuart M. Potter, Assistant Chief of the Sound Beach Fire Department for the past fifteen years, has been appointed the newly created post of paid Chief of Greenwich, Conn., at a salary of $3,500.

Chief Potter joined the Sound Beach Fire Department Old Greenwich, Conn., on November 7, 1911; was elected Lieutenant on May 4, 1916; Captain on May 2, 1918; Assistant Chief on May 10, 1923.

He is a member of the I.A.F.C.. New England Association of Fire Chiefs, Fairfield County F’ire Chiefs’ Emergency Plan, and the Connecticut State Firemen’s Association.
