Program New York State Fire Chiefs

The program of the fifteenth annual meeting of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, which takes place at Yonkers, N. Y., on Friday, July 1 and 2, is as follows:

Friday, July 1, 1921

10:00 A. M.—Meeting of delegates at headquarters, New Getty House, for registration, collection of dues and distribution of badges. An introduction to the city officials and committee and members to the chamber of commerce.

12:30 P. M.—Delegates form in line at the New Getty House and march to the Council Chamber at City Hall. Fire department drum corps to be the escort.

1:00 P. M.—Meeting called to order by the president, Chief Charles Little. Rochester, N. Y. Opening prayer, Rev. Henry A. Curtis, Yonkers, N. Y. Address of Welcome by the Honorable William .J. Wallin, Mayor of the City of Yonkers. Response in behalf of the Association by Chief John Espey, Elmira, N. Y. Roll call by the secretary of the Association.

Topic No. 1—Our Association and the Benefits Derived, ExChief John P. Quigley, Fire Prevention engineer of the Department of Labor State Industrial Commission.

Topic No. 2—Appraisal from Fire Chiefs’ Viewpoint, William F. Worcester, vice-president The Lloyd Thomas Co., appraisers and engineers.

Topic No. 3—Fire Prevention, Deputy Chief Thomas F. Doughertv, New York Fire Department.

Topic No. 4—Standardization of Hose Couplings and Hydrant Threads and the Method in So Doing, Engineer J. H. Howland, National Board of Underwriters.

Questions and discussions on each topic and a general debate is invited from all present.

New business. Unfinished business. Report of treasurer. Election of officers.

4:30 P. M— Review of the Yonkers Fire Department.

5:30 P. M.—Automobile ride.

8:00 P. M.—Dinner and entertainment at the Elks’ Club.

Saturday, July 2, 1921

Delegates will assemble Saturday morning, the time and place will he announced at the meeting on Friday, July 1, and hoard cars that will convey all within a short distance from the great Arena at Jersey City where the wonderful boxing exhibition between Dempsey and Carpentier will lake place.
