Program of Convention of Pacific Coast Chiefs.

The following program has been arranged for the annual convention of the Pacific Coast Fire Chiefs’ Association, to be held at Victoria, B. C., September 1-4. September 1, 10 a. m., opening session; 2 p. m., business session; 8 p. m., business session; 7.30 p. m., ladies theatre party. September 2, 9.30 a. m., business session; 2 p. m., business session and inspection of exhibits; 7 p. m., business session; 9 p. m., illuminated car ride; 3 p. m., ladies boat ride, and tea at Gorge Park. September 3, 10 a. m., automobile ride over scenic Malahat Road to Shawnigan Lake and dinner; 9 p. m., banquet. September 4, 9.30 a. m., business session ; 2.30 p. m., parade and demonstration of Victoria fire department; 7.30 p. in…eighth and last business session; 2.30 p. m., ladies automobile ride and tea at residence of Chief Davis. Chiefs from California will go to Victoria by boat from San Francisco, The association has not as yet taken any pan in Insurance Week at the San Francisco Exposition nor its preliminary gatherings, demonstration, etc. It may decide at its coming convention at San Francisco next year, but if it does it will be held there in September, its usual time, and not Insurance Week in April. The program indicates that the coming convention will be purely a business convention with eight sessions and very few entertainment events except for the ladies.
