Red Bank Waterworks Report.

Superintendent Houston, of the Red Bank, N. J. water department submitted his report for the year 1909. The amount of money received from all sources was $8,807.48, including $1,500 from the borough for sprinkling. The receipts from the sale of water to subscribers were $16,350.94 as against $12,981.61 for 1908, an increase of $3,368.33. There is due on ledger accounts the sum of $2,329.20. The receipts for tapping fees during the past year were $754.47, as compared with $351 last year. Between the operating expenses this year ana last the report states, no fair comparison can be drawn, as more than half of the meters have been replaced with new ones and many repairs made to mains. The reconstruction work for the year aggregated $12,686.63. including new boilers and equipment, new trestle and qoal sheds and new mains.
