RENSSELAER MANUFACTURING COMPANY.
For many years the Rensselaer Manufacturing company has occupied a prominent place as the manufacturer of valves, gates and hydrants, for use in waterworks service. Its plant at Cohoes, N. Y., is well located for turning out large quantities of supplies, and it is reported that lately it has been taxed to its full capacity to execute the orders received. The Corey hydrant and Rensselaer valves have a national reputation, and have become popular among waterworks superintendents through the efforts of the representatives of the company in the Eastern and Western sections of the country. Tor a long time the company has maintained a Western office in Chicago under the direction of Octavous Jones, and now ajt Eastern office has been established at t8o Broadway, Manhattan, New York, to be managed by its special representative Fred. S. Bates, who has made himself decidedly popular in the Fast for many years. It is proposed to transact all business covering this section from the New York office through Mr. Bates, who will spend a considerable portion of his time there to meet his friends.
