The anual report of Superintendent Daniel J. Higgins, of Waltham, Mass., for the year ending Jan 31, 1913, shows the water bills amounted to $91,842.92, and practical bills $5,553.38. The net water debt is $142,704.73 and the total cost of the water works is $805,345.87. The total gallons of water pumped, 1,001,948,180, exceeds that of last year by 84,633.516, making the daily average of 2,737,563 gallons. During the year there were 68 services laid at a cost of $3,206.-50. A total of 15 hydrants were set, making the present number 476. Fourteen hundred feet of additional water mains were added. A large munher of meters were installed and services now on flat rales will be metered as soon as possible
