Roxbury Bakery Fire
The bakery of C. F. Hathaway & Sons, Nos. 25-33 Robey street, in the Roxbury section of Boston, Mass., was damaged by fire to the extent of $25,000, early in the morning of April 13. Two alarms were sent in from Box 319. The building is a three story brick structure and the fire was confined to the north end of the bakery. It is thought an overheated oven may have been the cause of the blaze. More than two thousand bags of flour were ruined by smoke and w^ater. Six horses housed in a stable at the rear of the building were led out in safety.
