The Federation in augurated its national fire prevention campaign some two years ago and has taken a prominent part in the observation of October 9th as Fire Prevention Day. Among the papers read were, “New Phases of Fire Department Work,” by Commissioner Adamson, of New York, which will appear in an early issue; “Fire Prevention and Insurance,” by H. W. Forster, general manager of the Independence Inspection Bureau of Philadelphia, representing the National Fire Protection Association, and “Baltimore’s Contributions to Fire Prevention,” by B. S.
