SOME FAMILIAR FACES.

SOME FAMILIAR FACES.

The illustration on page 334 of this number was made from a photograph taken specially for FIRE AND WATER at the recent convention of fire engineers at New Haven. In it will be found many well-known faces from all parts of the country. In the centre foreground is Chief Benoit, of Montreal, in a light suit, with Colonel Stevenson of the same city on his right, and next to him former Chief Leshure, of Springfield. At the immediate left side is Provost,of Ottawa, and, standing still farther to the left, the redoubtable Dorval, of the city of Quebec. To the right are Chiefs Webber, Baxter, Heinmiller, Haney, and others. In the centre are such well-known chiefs as Matt. Sloan, Dickinson, Ilopkins.and Harding. Following along the line to the left will be noticed the familiar faces of Chiefs Dale, Higgins, Tones, Patt, Casey, and others. The puzzle in this picture, however, is to find Charley Braxmar.
