Itineraries of the “Eastern Regulars” ami of the Mid-West DelegateInteresting Stop-offs Arranged Eor Each Trip

THE itineraries of two important trips have already been arranged for chiefs who are planning to attend the fiftythird animal convention of the International Association of Fire Engineers. These are the Eastern Regulars, from New York and nearby cities and the trip from the Middle West, starting from Kansas City, Mo. These are given in full as follows:

ITINERARY OF THE EASTERN REGULARS

The ‘ Eastern Regulars,” including those attending the convention from New York, New Jersey and Eastern points, will !,(, as usual, under the efficient leadership of J’red Bensen. Manager of Metropolitan and New England districts of the Eureka Eire Hose Manufacturing Company. The trip will start over the Pennsylvania Railroad, at the Penn. Station, New York City at 5:45 p. m., Sunday, September 27. There is also an itinerary arranged for New England delegates. There will he a stop over, with breakfast, at White Sulphur Springs, on Monday, September 28. The return trip includes a visit to Staunton, Va„ the Endless Caverns of New Market, and a sight-seeing trip through Washington and Arlington. The itinerary is as follows.

Individual reservations will be made for sleeping car space to Providence and Boston, returning.

Rates from New England points include transportation to Louisville and return, parlor car s-at Sept. 27th to New Y’ork, all features outlined in itinerary to Louisville and return to New Y’ork, through parlor car scat to New Haven or New London and lower or upper berth to Providence or Boston.

Above rates include round trip ticket with Pullman accommodations, automobile rides, transfer of passengers and baggage at Louisville and all meals as given in itinerary.

Meals and hotel accomnxxlations while in Louisville are not included in the foregoing rates, but Mr. Bensen will reserve hotel accommodations at the Brown Hotel, Louisville, each rxm having twin beds and bath at the rate of S7, S8 and $9 per day, European plan, according to location and size of rooms. MID-WEST TRIP TO LOUISVILLE CONVENTION

As has been his custom for a number of years, Janies G. Matheny, Western Central representative of the AhrensFox hire Engine Company, Kansas City, Mo., has tentatively arranged a trip to the Chiefs’ Convention at Louisville. starting from Kansas City, Mo., at 10 p. m., on September 26. There will be a special car over the C. R. I. & P., the L. & X. and the L. H. & St. L. Railroads. While the rate has not as yet been officially named, Mr. Matheny thinks that undoubtedly the same arrangement as last year will prevail—that is, fare and a half for round trip, on the identification certificate plan. The lower berth rate Kansas City to Louisville, on the foregoing schedule is S7.63 and from St. Louis $4.75.

A stop-over has been arranged for at Evansville, with a trip around town and a visit to the fire department. The sleeper for departure from Evansville will be set for occupancy at 10 p. m. Arrival at Louisville will be the morning before the convention open, so as to allow time for registration, etc. Mr. Matheny will make reservation for those desiring them at the Brown Hotel, Louisville.
