Chiefs are pouring in from all parts of the United States, Canada and foreign countries to what from present indications will be record convention in every respect. More than four hundred delegates registered up to tonight and hundreds more expected tomorrow. All special parties including eastern regulars, southern regulars and Stover special arrived practically on schedule, notwithstanding the railroad strike. Weather excellent; clear, sunny and comfortably cool. Moran of Hartford, Murphy of Buffalo and Armstrong of Kingston, Ontario, in race for second vice-president. Buffalo, Detroit and Richmond, Virginia, working for next convention. Hotel accommodations are splendid and elaborate entertainment program arranged. Complete report in August thirtieth issue unless delayed by strike.
