“At today’s session of the general assembly Representative Chidsey, of East Haven, introduced a measure amending section 3510 of the General Statutes to read as follows: ‘Insurance companies organised under the laws of the State having power to insure against loss by fire may make insurance against loss by windstorm, hail, lightning, tornadoes, cyclones, leaking of sprinklers and of sprinkler systems installed or maintained for the purpose of protection against fire and by explosions, whether fire ensues or not, provided the same shall be clearly expressed in the policy; but nothing herein shall be construed to intpower such companies to insure against loss or damage to persons or property resulting from explosion of steam boilers.’ The bill, it is understood, will pass without opposition.”
