Stutz Opens Kansas City Branch
Carrying a full line of display machines, the Stutz Fire Engine Company of Indianapolis opened its Western branch at 212 Westport Avenue on July 6. Managing the new office is James G. Matheny, who has been connected for several years with the Kansas City branch of the Seagrave Company. On the display floor were three machines, a combination hose and chemical car, a service or hook and ladder car and a 750-gallon pumper.
The Stutz Fire Engine Company manufactures fire fighting equipment exclusively. It is investing approximately $50,000 in its western branch here, which will control sales chiefly in the Southwest. States under the jurisdiction of the western branch are Idaho, Iowa, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
