Superintendent Wilbur F. Reed.
A Kalamazoo, Mich., correspondent writes that Wilbur F. Reed has been unanimously reappointed superintendent of the waterworks system of that city. Goddie Rosenbaum has been elected a fire and police commissioner; R. R. Brenner, president of the council and a member of the water committee; John Gemrich, water commissioner; William Murphyv inspector of water meters. In his address on leaving office Mayor Thompson pointed out that the real and chief necessities of the city were sewers and water, and urged that the “work of purifying the socalled sanitary zone round the city should not be allowed to stop. A life lost (he added) is more dear ami worth more than all the expense it may cost.”
