Thomas J. Gough, formerly chief of the Conneaut. Ohio, fire department, has been appointed at the head of the Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio, fire forces. This department is composed of eight men besides the chief and is equipped with a triple combination car. Four men work on a twelve-hour shift. The department is to be housed in a $30,000 fire station, which will be completed about Christmas, according to Chief Gough.
Chief Gough served as head of the Conneaut fire department for 31 years, retiring last January. He took up his work as head of the Cuyahoga Heights department on the first of September.
He has been tor several years active in the Work of the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association and was elected as president of that body at the convention held at Columbus on June 5, 1923, serving in that capacity for one year.
Chief Perrigo, Lewiston, N. Y., Resigns—Fred Perrigo, chief of the Lewiston, N. Y., fire department tendered his resignation to the village hoard. The resignation went into effect Nov. 1.
