TEST OF THE NEPTUNE NOZZLE.

TEST OF THE NEPTUNE NOZZLE.

A public test of the Neptune nozzle lately given at Lexington, Ky., was a great success. The pressure, eighty-five pounds, was direct from the fireplugs; a small boy handled the nozzle, which threw a one and one-quarter-inch stream 127 feet: a one and three-eighths of an inch stream 148 feet. A one-inch old-fashioned nozzle threw a stream only ninety-four feet. A test at Paris, Ky., gave the same results. The manufacturers of this nozzle, and the Deluge sets, the Combination Ladder company, report a great demand for both throughout the country.
