Texans Will Excursion to the I. A. F. E. Convention

Chief H. F. Magee, of the Dallas, Texas, fire department, who is president of the International Association of Fire Engineers, had this to say upon reaching home after attending a special meeting of the association in this city recently: “The convention begins the first day of September, and I am going to arrange an excursion party from Texas to attend. Last year about 31 persons attended the convention at Denver, and if we can get that many this year arrangements can be made with the railroad companies to charter two sleeping cars or as many as are necessary. The party will leave here the morning of Aug. 28, and arrive at Niagara Falls Aug. 30, where it will spend the day. The cars will he side-tracked and all that we will have to do is to go out and have a good time. This offers a splendid opportunity to those who wish to see Canada and other sights and also attend the convention. I will have charge of the excursion and will receive all applications from anyone wishing to go.”
