Secretary John S. Jones, the only secretary the Connecticut State Firemen’s association has ever had, has sent out the following notice of the ensuing convention:

“WESTPORT, CONN., May 15, 1902. “Brother Firemen:

“The nineteenth annual convention of the Connecticut State Firemen’s association will be held in Savin Rock hall, West Haven, on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 12 and 13, 1902.

“The headquarters of the president and secretary will be in rooms adjoining the hall, where the executive committee will hold a session at 11 o’clock on Tuesday morning. The convention will assemble in the hall at 2 p. m.. sharp, of the same day. The secretary and committee on credentials will be at the hall as early as 9 o’clock on Tuesday morning, ready for business, and delegates are asked to present their credentials, sign the roll, and obtain badge, by 11 o’clock.

“On Wednesday morning the convention will be called to order at to o’clock.

“Arrangements will be made for reduced rates on the railroad. The outlook for a good convention is excellent, and no company in the State, or a department officer, can afford to be unrepresented. An extra effort-will be made for a large number of chiefs and assistants to be present.

“JOHN S. JONES. Secretary.”
