Through the courtesy of Chief C. H. Hildebrand, Jr., the Training Center of Atlanta, Ga., graces FIRE ENGINEERING’S first full-color cover. This modern facility includes tower, fire laboratory, training and office building, as well as drafting cistern and various fire pits. All parts exposed to flame are made of special reinforced concrete designed to withstand 2,500° heat. In addition to local training the center is also the scene of Georgia’s State Fire College activities.
