The Enterprising H. W. Clark Company

H. W. Clark Company Factory at Mattoon, Ill., Destroyed By a Tornado.

The enterprise of the H. W. Clark Company, manufacturers of the Clark meter box and water works appliances, is demonstrated by the fact that despite the destruction of the company’s extensive and modern factory at Mattoon, Ill., by a tornado on May 26, as told in a recent issue of this journal, the company was immediately in a position to take care of all orders and render the usual prompt service from its large stock of finished products which was undamaged, said stock being the necessary requirements for its extensive business and fortunately this stock was well up to its minimum quantity. There was scarcely a lull in the business and shipments were already going forward egularly as early as may 29. Further than this it was then announced that manufacturing would be resumed in a few days.
