THE LATE MRS. BOND.
It will be remembered that the dangerous illness of Mrs. Bond, wife of Mr. Joseph A. Bond, chief engineer of the water department of Wilmington,Del.,prevented the latter from fulfilling his functions of president of the American Water Works association when it met in convention at Buffalo in June last.
It is a matter of the deepest regret to chronicle the recent death of that estimable lady—one of the most lovely women that ever lived.
FIRE AND WATER, in the name of its readers, many of whom are personal friends of Mr. Bond, and some of whom can likewise bear testimony to the beauty of Mrs.Bond’s disposition and character, would tender to the bereaved husband and relatives of the deceased lady an expression of the most heartfelt sympathy with them in their sore affliction.
