THE RACINE FIRE ENGINE COMPANY.
The Racine Fire Engine and Motor company, of Racine, Wis., has recently been reorganized, and, with additional capital, it proposes to carry on its original fire department business under the above title. Writing to FIRE AND WATER on this subject R. B. Sigafoos, president of the company, says:
We shall manufacture the line of fire goods fully as we have heretofore—every thing in the apparatus line, except steamers. We shall add five or six specialties in the way of a new trussed ladder, a new ladder hoist, a new chemical fire extinguisher, a new tank connection for chemical engines, and a new roof ladder device, all of which shall be put on the market at once. The addition of the term motor to the title of our firm implies that, as soon as we can complete our facilities, heavy motors shall be applied to fire apparatus and heavy freight wagons, and does not apply to the light automobile work or pleasure vehicles.
