THE TRI-COUNTY CONVENTION.
The third annual convention and tournament of the TriCounty Firemen’s Association which was held at Whitehall, N. Y., was very successful. The town was filled with visitors and the contests were very spirited and evenly contested. President Holden occupied the chair during the business session of the convention and delivered an address in which he complimented the organizer of the association, Martin Feeley, without whose aid he said the association might never have become known. The following officers were elected for the year: President, George F. Ashton of Fort Edward; first vice-president, Ralph Russell of Schuylcrville; second vicepresident. J. Henry Feeney of Glens Falls; third vice-president, Charles J. Barker of Whitehall; secretary. C. M. Hotchkiss of Whitehall; treasurer, John I. Morgan of Ford Edward; executive committee. George Mathews of Fort Edward, John Coilins of Glens Falls and Frank J. Holmes of Ballston. N. Austin Baker of Salem was elected a member of the executive committee to fill the vacancy caused by the death of John K. Larmon.
The place for holding the next convention was unanimously fixed ot Schuylerville July 4.
After a hearty vote of thanks was extended to the retiring president the convention adjourned.
