The Water Pressure at Hibbing.

The Water Pressure at Hibbing.

The water pressure and the coming change in the voltage of the Hibbing, Minn., lighting system were the chief items brought up at a meeting of the water and light commissioners. It was mentioned in connection with the water pressure that at a recent fire the pressure was actually greater than could be handled with comfort by the firefighters, three men being required to manipulate one nozzle. It is probable that for future fires the pressure will he slightly decreased, leaving a reserve in case of real need. The approaching change of the voltage from 1,100 to 2,200 was mentioned, and the inevitable shutdown of the lights for one or tu’o days while the change is being made, but no definite information was given by the commission as to when this would take place.
