They Believe in Water Conservation
An investigation made by the city plumbing department, of Fremont, Ohio, it was stated at the city hall, has resulted in the discovery of a by-pass in use at a local manufacturing plant and which has greatly reduced the water rentals paid the city by that concern. According to the city officials this company averaged about 3,000 gallons of water a month and then suddenly the average dropped to 100 gallons and the investigation showed that a line has been constructed around the meter and all the water used by the plant was not accounted and paid for. What action is to be taken was not stated.
