The enterprising paper, FIRE AND WATER, of New York city, in its last issue, published a special convention edition which was a model in every way. The number was finely illustrated and well filled with interesting matter. It was thoroughly appreciated by the firemen throughout the country. —Boston Democrat.
The Windsor Locks (Conn.) water company are making valuable improvements at and around their pumping station. When complete, they will add materially to the value of the plant, as they will afford greater conveniences in pumping and lessen its cost. A large force of men is at work moving pipes, digging several feet into hard day in some places.
