Training School for Firemen
Within a month or so, firemen and policemen of Monroe County, N. Y., will be able to receive training in connection with the extinguishment of bomb fires and the control of poisonous gases. Attendance of city firemen and policemen will be compulsory, while volunteers may attend on their own initiative. Officers and paid firemen will take special courses that will enable them to pass their training on to civilians who may later be organized into auxiliaries.
The paid firemen, policemen and volunteers will then constitute the Emergency Fire Protection force for this area, under the Wood’s plan.
