U. S B. ELECTRIC METER-TAKERS’ LANTERN.
The U. S. Battery Electric Meter-Takers’ lantern stays lit on one charge for from eight to twelve hours. The batteries, which are contained in the lamp body, are of the storage variety, and may be recharged from any direct current incandescent fixture by means of a simple device—a cut of which accompanies this notice. The reflected candle power of the lamps is about forty, and a bright ray of light is projected about 100 feet. The lamp is fitted with a bail in such a way that it may be carried in the hollow of the left arm, thus leaving both hands free.
