Two U.S. Forest Service firefighters died after the car they were driving went off the road and into the Trinity River in California.
A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle drove off Seeley McIntosh Road sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol told the Times-Standard.
Their identities are being withheld pending notification.
