WALSH ELECTED PRESIDENT

Boston, Mass.—The Massachusetts State Firemen’s Association, in convention at Faneuil Hall, unanimously elected Chief Peter F. Walsh of the Boston department as president, He was also chosen as delegate to the 1922 convention of the international association.

Other officers elected were: First vice-president, Capt Henry Hilton of Gloucester; second vice-president, Fred J. Bottomly of Haverhill: secretary, Daniel J. Looney of Boston; treasurer, H. R. Williamson of Worcester; sergeant-at-arms, Chief F. O. Whitmarsh of Braintree; directors, M. Joseph Manning of Milton, John H. Day of Lynn and William F. McGrath of Cambridge. Chief W. B. Ranlett of Newton was elected commissioner for the firemen’s relief fund.

A baseball game between teams representing Boston and Fall River departments was played on the Common and the convention closed with a buffet dinner, vaudeville entertainment and dance at Convention Hall, 54 St. Botolph street.
