Warren (MI) Firefighters Respond to Commercial Building Fire

A fire rages in a commercial structure as firefighters approach.

On Sunday July 31, 2016, the Warren (MI) Fire Department responded to a reported commercial building on fire in the area of Mound Rd & 10 Mile.

Upon arrival of Engine 3, firefighters reported smoke showing from the metal clad commercial building attached to a converted residential structure. Engine 3 stretched. Companies made entry into the building and reported a suspected marijuana grow facility.

Crews made entry on the interior and reported the fire in the rear of the commercial section of the building, possibly electrical related. The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.

Companies were re dispatched to the same location later to find the building fully involved. Defensive operations were set up on the commercial building while crew performed an interior attack on the residential type structure. The cause of the second fire is under investigation.
