Water Company Shows Consideration

The Tri-Cities Water Company, which supplies the people of Monessen, Pa., with water, installed meters on all services, during the winter. Finding that many of the lines have leaks and that some consumers would have heavy bills if obliged to pay according to the meter readings this quarter, the company, with consideration not always shown by public service corporations, has sent out this notice. “In accordance with our notice of October, we have installed a meter at your premises. Preliminary readings taken on many of the newly installed meters indicate considerably water wastage. In order to allow consumers ample opportunity to repair plumbing and correct the conditions which would result in large water bills, we have decided to collect for the current quarter on the old or flat rate basis and make the new contracts (meter basis) effective on or about April 1st, 1919.—TriCities Water Co.”
