Thomas C. Gleason, the superintendent of the water works, of Ware, Mass., has submitted his annual report to the water commissioners, from which arc gleaned the following statistics: Number of public gates added during the year, two; total now in use, 113; number of private hydrants added, six; total now in use, III, The total number of services now amounts to 719, sixteen having beeu added dnring the year; water pumped during the year, 90,724.170 gallons; average daily consumption, 248,559 gallons; families supplied with town w ater, 1,182; total length of main pipe in use,10.94 miles; total length of private pipe now in use, 7,000 feet; received for water, $10,615.55; price per 1,000 gallons, it.7 cents; price per 1.000 gallons tor metered water, 17.73 cents; cost of pumping, figuring on total maintenance and including interest on the plant, six cents per f.000 gallons; total cost of works to date. $121,304; water debt at this date, $49,500,
