What Fire Has Cost Canada

To awaken the people of Canada to the seriousness of the loss of life and property by fire and to make more earnest and effective the observance of Fire Prevention Week, the Dominion Government has reported what fire has cost Canada.

The Government reports that in the last twenty years there have been 863,000 fires in Canada, with a total property loss of $749,000,000, and during the same period 7,969 lives were lost and 25,000 persons were injured.
