WILL BUY MOTOR TRUCK
Chagrin Falls, O.—The Chagrin Falls council has responded to the appeal of the village fire department for financial help. At a special meeting the sum of about. $1,600 for use of the fire department was authorized. This is to be raised by the sale of bonds of $100, extending over a term of years.
The money will be used mainly for assistance in the purchase of a motor truck. Part of the price of the truck had already been raised by the firemen themselves. Part of the money will be used to buy a new electric siren, or whistle, to be placed over the fire department building. These are said to be operated quickly and are very successful in other places.
The matter of village help was first brought up in council by former Mayors H. S. Kent and Geo. Wait and fire chief Harry Russell. They explained the situation and council gave favorable attention as stated.
