WISCONSIN STATE FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION
The tenth annual convention and tournament of the Wisconsin State Firemen’s Association will be held at Lake Geneva on June 23, 24, 25. The following is the program .
Wednesday— Reception of firemen; annual meeting of the association at 7 p m.—open to the public—brief business session, after which papers will be read and discussions held on subjects germane to fire fighting.
Thursday—Grand parade of all companies taking part in the tournament at 10.30 a. m. followed at 2 p. m. by contests for prizes for companies coming the greatest distance and participating in the races; chiefs’ races (including gold medal presented by Eureka Fire Hose Company of New York); and hook and ladder contests, including two silver trumpets, value $75, presented by the Gutta I’ercha and Rubber Manufacturing Company, and hand engine contest.
Friday—Championship races, including hub and hub hose and hook and ladder races—prizes, besides those in monty, section hose and play pipe, value $50 (presented by the Boston Woven Hose Company) and Babcock fire extinguisher, value $75 (manufactured and presented by Extinguisher Manufacturing Company, Chicago. III.), novelty hose race, single man’s ladder climbing and coupling contests hub and hub and hook and ladder races and foreman’s and assistant foreman’s race. The money prizes offered are many and vatuable.
