With Lincoln

FEBRUARY brings again the birthdays of both Lincoln and Washington—and at a time when the world sorely needs the same counsel of the truly great.
- In solving the problems that confront us right now it is inspiring to recall a statement of Abraham Lincoln’s, made when things looked darkest:
- May we do the right thing, now, with the same fervent faith in the power of righteousness!
“I do the very best I know how; the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what is said against me won’t amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference.”
