Woman Operated Plant

The taking over of the lease to the water works plant which supplies North San Juan, Cal, by William Budbury and Clyde Wodell calls attention to the fact that for a number of years a woman, Mrs. Edward Brunson, has operated the plant. Mrs. Brunson is relinquishing her lease. The water supply of North San Juan is purchased from the Northern Water and Power Company, who conduct water from monutain lakes by means of canals for a distance of 60 miles. It is distributed in the town by the gravity system from reservoirs, of which the town has two of 700,000 gallons capacity each. The average daily consumption is reported to be 15,000 gallons.
