Young Firemen Turn Arsonists
Two rookies to the McKinley Fire Company in Philadelphia, Pa., were too eager to fight a fire which would be equivalent to the fires they had heard about in the experiences of other Volunteers, so they started one in Jenkintown. causing a loss of about $25,000. The eighteen-year old boys pleaded guilty to arson after admitting that they stuffed paper in the closets of the building and set it afire. The boys were sent to the county jail pending a final disposition of their plea.
