Firefighters Rescue PA Man After Forklift Flips Over on Him

Firefighters rescued a man at an Armstrong facility in Lancaster who was pinned under a forklift.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Dillerville Road in Lancaster.

Using specialized equipment, firefighters successfully freed the man’s leg and applied immediate medical aid, including a tourniquet to control bleeding.

The man, who was in significant pain, was transported to a hospital, Lancaster City Bureau of Fire Chief Todd Hutchinson told WGAL.

It’s not clear why the forklift flipped over, but the company is investigating.
