A former Fort Worth firefighter is suing the city and six former colleagues, alleging sexual assault and harassment during the final years of her two-decade tenure, reports Dallas News.

The unnamed female firefighter said she was raped by two of her superiors, subjected to repeated sexual harassment by co-workers and ignored or retaliated against when she spoke up about the misconduct.

The Fort Worth Fire Department said in response to questions about the lawsuit that it had opened an internal investigation after a former employee filed a complaint in June.

The department said in a statement it was investigating the allegations and had referred the former employee’s complaint to Fort Worth police.
