New Joshua (TX) Fire Chief Named

Sep. 3—The city of Joshua on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jay White as the city’s new fire chief.

White is a dedicated public safety professional with 24 years of experience. A U.S. Navy veteran, white served as an Operations Specialist Second Class with two Mediterranean deployments enforcing United Natinos embargoes and numerous deployments to the Caribbean and off the coast of Florida conducting counter-drug operations.

His public safety journey began as a volunteer in Rendon and Crowley, and he later worked with AMR Arlington for five years. White rose through the ranks to become a lieutenant in Forest Hill and spent 11 years in the Arlington Fire Marshal’s office, where he achieved the rank of Fire Investigator/Tactical Bomb Tech/K9 Handler.

White’s leadership, experience and commitment to our community make him the perfect fit to lead the Joshua Fire Department, according to a city press release.
