A firefighter with the Spring Lake Fire Department was killed in a head-on collision, reports ThePilot.com.
Corbin Rogers was traveling on his way home from a ladder training session.
The accident is under investigation by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
According to the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) report, on Friday, January 31, 2020, Firefighter Corbin Rogers was returning home from a 48-hour shift and aerial training class at the Spring Lake Fire Department when he was involved in a vehicle accident. Rogers passed away at the scene. He was 21 years old.
This is the 10th firefighter fatality reported to the USFA thus far in 2020.
